Having so many FOSS projects, and so much code, in MS hands makes me weary. GitHub is a good product, but it isn't FOSS, and it's already too big as well. Things seem to have changed in recent years, but faith and trust has yet to be recovered, they actually need to gain it, from previous attacks and harm it was caused.
